Say Hola to Halloween with Dora and Diego Costumes

No sooner do you get through the back to school rush, when it’s time to start planning for Halloween.  I’ve always longed to be one of those moms who lovingly prepares homemade Halloween costumes for the kids.  My own mom did.  When I was pregnant with my first child, I bought a sewing machine.

I’ve made four cat toys.  In six years.

So, I’m already starting to peruse Halloween costumes available in stores and on online.  Isn’t this Diego get-up adorable?  There are Dora costumes for little girls, too.  Even if you don’t use the costumes for Halloween, they are wonderful, imaginative tools to get your kids role-playing and speaking in Spanish.  In fact, we always use the boys’ old Halloween costumes for dress-up play year round.

Any Spanish speakers want to share how to say Halloween?  Trick-or-Treat?

Gracias :-)
