Spanish Back-to-School Vocabulary: Classroom Supplies
This is my first official “Back-to-School” shopping season as a Mom. I’m trying hard not to tear up as my oldest heads off to kindergarten in a few weeks. For the moment, I’m distracted by the flurry of choosing the perfect backpack and all of the school supplies to go in it.
Before you head out to the stores for back-to-school shopping, learn how to say some school supplies in Spanish. Take the deluge of Back-to-School circulars and advertisements you receive and let your kids go wild with scissors and glue. Label their creative shopping list in Spanish and then bring it along as you hunt for great deals on these classroom supplies:
- el lápiz – pencil
- el lápiz de color – crayon
- la pluma/el bolÍgrafo – pen/ballpoint pen
- el libro – book
- el cuaderno – notebook
- el papel – paper
- la regla – ruler
- las tijeras – scissors
- la mochila – backpack
