Aw, shucks!

It’s been a week of wonderful surprise blog awards. Nic at Instant French named Foreign Language Fun a Top French Site. Merci, Nic!

Top Learn French Site

As if that weren’t plenty of good news for one week, A Second Cup also honored FLF with the  ”I Love Your Blog” award.  Now I have the fun of passing on the prize to seven other deserving blogs.  I bestowed my last award upon my favorite language-loving bloggers.  Those bilingual Mommies and teachers continue to be an inspiration.  Today, I’d like to recognize some amazing blogs I’ve just recently discovered.

Diana at Custom Blog Designs designed my new globe siggie.  She’s creative and wonderful to work with.  Affordable, too.  Merci, Diana :-)

And have you noticed my stylish new Parisian avatar?  I purchased the clip art on sale for only 70 cents at Pink Pixel Graphics.  I also bought an array of Eiffel Towers I can’t wait to use.  Cute stuff! (Okay, maybe Pink Pixel Graphics isn’t a blog, but it’s a new favorite site.)

Dana at Whimsical Walney makes adorable multi-lingual children’s tee-shirts.  Not only did she generously give away a free Spanish tee through FLF a few weeks ago, she is also extending a special discount to Foreign Language Fun readers right now.  Find out more about the promotion here.

I just discovered two wonderful sites dedicated to traveling with young kids.  Although I used to travel internationally every year, I’ve been a home-bound chicken since I’ve had kids.  We did cross the border into Canada for a few camping trips, and we venture to Florida beaches every February.  But overseas?  ’Fraid not.  But Debbie at Delicious Baby and CanCan at Mom Most Traveled have been traveling the globe with little ones in tow.  Check out their blogs for inspiration and advice.

Back to language bloggers, I’ve recently discovered Gidget Loves Language.  She’s teaching her young daughter Spanish, and she’s writing a novel, too!

Cody’s Cuentos is an amazing, FREE, Spanish language learning site.  You and your kids can listen to the lovable puppy, Cody, and his human friends tell Spanish stories via podcast.  We’re talking entertaining, professional storytelling by a native speaker.  Later this month, you’ll be able to hear stories at the level of your choice—beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

Congratulations to these wonderful bloggers!  And thanks again to Instant French and A Second Cup.
