My preschooler and I have a new bedtime routine. After he’s tucked snug in bed, he loves it when I use my finger to draw shapes on the palm of his hand. First I’ll say them in English, then French, and then Spanish. We always end with a kiss on the hand! Today in preschool he noticed the shapes posters on his classroom wall and started to identify them in his new languages. I’m a proud Mama
Here’s how to say some shapes in English – French – Spanish:
circle – le cercle – el círculo
oval – l’ovale – el óvalo
square – le carré - el cuadrado
rectangle – le rectangle – el rectángulo
triangle – le triangle – el triángulo
heart – le coeur – el corazón
star – l’étoile – la estrella
Thank you to Foreign Language Friends. . . you taught us the Spanish
