Foreign Language Association of North Carolina (FLANC) Conference 2009
Attention, North Carolina foreign language teachers: I’m looking forward to meeting several of you at the FLANC conference in Raleigh next week. I’ll be presenting a workshop with Catherine, my Foreign Language House publishing partner. We’ll be sharing ways to make language learning active, meaningful, and fun for kids and teens. It’s not too late to sign up for the conference. Just follow this link.
Here’s our workshop info:
Workshop H – It’s a FLES For All: Fun, Games, Active Communication Tasks, Content & More for K-12 Novice Learners
FLES techniques aren’t just for kids. Novice-level language learners of all ages are engaged through play and hands-on activities. Participants will discover a wealth of fun and effective elementary inspired games, materials, tasks, crafts, and resources that can also be adapted for the big kids at the middle and high school levels. The presenters are former veteran elementary, middle, and high school foreign language teachers. Bring your laptop or some note-cards to create games and activities that you can use on Monday. Come and play!
Focus: All languages, All levels
Hope to see you there!
